Hi, my name is Romeo and I am about one year old. I was a stray that had been hanging around a house and the owners of the house already had 4 cats so they took me to BCHS to find a home. I am very sociable and like to be petted, but I have a medical condition caused by a trauma. It is called a diaphragmatic hernia. This condition causes me to have labored breathing and I get out of breath if I exert myself too much. The vet has said that surgery is not an option because the injury has already healed. I am on a canned food only diet so I don't have to strain too much going to the bathroom since I have a special situation. I can live a full life and my condition doesn't cause me to have any other medical issues. I would very much like to be in a home where I can play and be somebody's lap cat. I am available for immediate adoption. I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped.
